As one of the only original buildings of the Jewish Quarter, the Ceremonial Hall was built in Pseudo-Romanesque style in 1912 for the Jewish Burial Society. Originally the Ceremonial Hall was used for purposes as obvious by its name as well as a mortuary but it now serves as part of the Jewish Museum relating to Jewish history, and on the upper and ground floors is the exhibition of the traditions and customs of the Jewish people which is housed in the Ceremonial Hall.
